Dean Kinney

President

Dean Kinney is a corporate board member and Vice President of New Rushmore Radio Inc. The broadcast company owns and operates six radio stations in Rapid City and Sturgis. In this capacity, Mr. Kinney is the longtime General Manager of KBHB radio in Sturgis where he has worked for more than 21 years. In addition, Dean is the President and CEO of the HomeSlice Corporation, a group of small businesses operating mostly in the Sturgis area. These include the Loud American Roadhouse, HomeSlice Creative and HomeSlice Vacation Properties, among others. HomeSlice is the worldwide exclusive licensing agent for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, considered by many to be the largest gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts in the world. The company also has a deep background in financial services marketing where Kinney has led the efforts of First Western Bank, an independent financial institution with nearly One Billion Dollars in assets at the time it was acquired by First Interstate Bank in Billings, Montana. Today, Dean serves in a similar capacity for Pioneer Bank and Trust, the oldest independent bank in the region. Mr. Kinney's companies employ more than 50 full and part-time people in the Sturgis area. Dean is a past-president of the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce, a former board member of Sturgis Rally Charities, a past-chair of the Sturgis United Way campaign, and is a former member of the local United Way allocation committee. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the High Plains Heritage Center in Spearfish. Dean was born and raised in Sturgis, has lived here all of his life and built his businesses in the community. Dean, his wife Toni and their daughter, Kelsey, live in Boulder Canyon.
